Yearbook - cover variations,

Elements we considered going with:
- four
- CMYK
- Photographic mugshots
- Interractive photography
- Illustrated faces
- Personalised journey "we are...."
- Handwritten aspect?
- Tutors quote on a spread (4) amber, fred, john, lorenzo
- 4 colours running throughout? or 4 shades of one colour
- scattered names
- 4 collumn grid guide
- shapes as imagery for cover, >>> direction
- photograph of hand showing 4 fingers

We thought about having the yearbook as a journey, that the phrase 'we are' helps to explore:

(WE ARE NOW
we are directed?
we are a collection
we are all unique
we are hard working
we are dedicated
we are driven
WE ARE HERE)

We want to demonstrate the 'we are' phrases alongside imagery to help represent this, we figured the statement would also work well alongside the image and also label it appropriately.

The first inside cover page could have the statement,
We Are BA(hons.) Graphic Design"
followed by

we are a collection (supported by a photograph of us as a group, either in our working environment or a shot of all of us in front of our work...

we are all unique will support a photograph of us as individuals. The imagery will be mug shots of us, interracting with each other through the photography

the last page will have 'we are here', as a reference to us as designers ready to be employed/work

We have decided to try out cover layouts that run with the concept of having the names of everyone on our course scattered on the page. This will also link well with the website design as well.
Here are some cover designs/variations I have done, after a discussion with the group we decided on a layout and possible colour schemes and assigned each other jobs that we will bring together and alternate accordingly:
