Brainwave and simple cuckoo nest illustration I did, combining the two ideas. I also feel it personalises the cuckoo with a brain wave/rate that represents the main character.
When the bird if flying off into the tab I feel it shows that the bird isn't near the nest. The representation behind it is that the nest represents the ward that the plot is based within.
